About US
Our Story
Dare 2B You began with a simple yet powerful vision: to provide a safe space where at-risk youth could find the courage to dream and the resources to turn those dreams into reality.
What started as a small initiative in our community has grown into a comprehensive support system that fosters personal growth through mentorship and specialized development programs.
We believe that every young person deserves a second chance, and we are committed to walking alongside them every step of the way.
Our Mission
To empower young people through mentorship, leadership development, and community engagement, giving them the confidence, skills, and support they need to rise above their circumstances, become their truest selves, and lead in their communities.
Our Vision
A community where every young person, no matter their background, has the opportunity, guidance, and belief to reach their full potential and become the next generation of confident, compassionate leaders.
Our Core Values
Empowerment — We help youth discover the strength that's already within them and give them the tools to use it.
Belonging — Every young person deserves a place where they are seen, heard, and valued exactly as they are.
Growth — We meet youth where they are and walk with them toward who they're becoming.
Community — We rise together. Strong young people build strong neighborhoods, and strong neighborhoods lift up their youth.
Hope — We believe in second chances and in the limitless potential of every young person who walks through our doors.
Dare 2B You Foundation, Inc. is an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our youth mentorship programs are funded by community support. Your gifts are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. EIN: 42-3886246
Who We Serve
Dare 2B You serves young people who need someone in their corner, especially at-risk and underserved youth who may be facing hard circumstances at home, in school, or in their community. We create a safe, judgment-free space where these young people can heal, grow, and dream. We also partner with the families, schools, and community organizations who share our commitment to seeing youth thrive.
What We Do
We support young people through three connected pathways:
Youth Mentorship — We pair youth with caring, trained mentors who show up consistently, listen without judgment, and help them set and reach their goals.
Leadership Development — Through hands-on workshops and cohort experiences, young people build the confidence and real-world skills to speak up, take initiative, and lead.
Community Engagement — We turn confidence into action, giving youth the chance to serve, contribute, and see firsthand the difference they can make right where they are.
Together, these programs form a clear path from feeling unsure to standing tall as a confident young leader.
Why It Matters
When a young person has someone who believes in them, everything changes. They begin to see their own worth, set bigger goals, and imagine a future they once thought was out of reach. The impact doesn't stop with them; it ripples out to their families, their friends, and the community they call home. At Dare 2B You, we measure our success in young people who walk taller, dream bigger, and lead the way forward.
